Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Bradford

“I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form!”

Winston Churchill

What Makes It Special

Brand:  RoMa Craft Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Bradford: Its name refers to a protest over the taxes on whiskey by the U.S. government, the first time a domestic product had been taxed by the federal government, which almost escalated to civil war. The protest lasted from 1791-1794 and ultimately ended when President George Washington rode to Pennsylvania to enforce the new law.

Final Third

  • Transitions into a Full Bodied Finish
  • Very enjoyable and time slows down
  • Vanilla Oats, Heavy Earthy Tobacco
  • Two re-lights but a great smoke
  • A whiskey drinker’s cigar

It is sweet caramel, with red fruit and zesty orange citrus notes. It turns even heavy cigar notes into candy.

The Pairing

You can not pass up the opportunity to pair a cigar with Dalmore Cigar Malt (Highlands). The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon, 10 year old Matysalem sherry butts, and finished in Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. It is sweet caramel, with red fruit and zesty orange citrus notes. It turns even heavy cigar notes into candy. The sweet maltiness was a great balance with this Whiskey Rebellion. The ABV of 44% is unique and absolutely perfect for a wide variety of cigars. Nice and perfect amount of spice. I really enjoyed this pairing and would do it time and time again.
