This was from the last pour of my bottle so air has completely opened this bourbon.
NOSE: 90/100
The aroma on this bourbon is very rich with a note of toasted brown sugar that is heavier on the toasted side.
PALATE: 90/100
The arrival is very spicy with a toasty sense. There is a caramel note that appears then is covered again by a rich spice note.
FINISH: 90/100
The Finish is drying with a mouthwatering sense in the end with hints of toasted brown sugar
Overall Score: 90/100
If I had to use one word to describe this bourbon it would Rich! Toasted Brown Sugar is the closest thing I could use to describe the whole experience; although the note is heavier on the toasted sense rather than sugar sweetness. For my tastebuds this does not have a traditional caramel/vanilla bourbon profile, but a somewhat unique toasted brown sugar note that is not sweet but rich and satisfying. If you want caramel and vanilla notes from your bourbon, this may not be for you, BUT if you seek a bourbon with a rich spicy sense get Old Forester 1920!
