In the world of whiskey, there is a special place for Maryland Rye. There is a distinguished legacy and heritage associated with the region and the product.
The Maryland Rye Revival is a three day festival that allows enthusiasts to explore and experience local and world-class modern rye producers.
On Friday, November 10th the Maryland Rye Symposium will kick off the event. This day is “tailored for a diverse audience, including craft distillers, distillery operators, rye whiskey enthusiasts, bourbon aficionados, and professionals in the whiskey retail and wholesale industries.”
Later that evening the Friday Night Rye: Grand Tasting offers more than just a tasting, it’s a full sensory experience.
On Saturday, November 11th the Rockabilly Rye Festival connects local craft spirits and authentic rockabilly music. Featured acts include The Flea Bops, The Rock-A-Sonics, and Mitch Polzak.
Also, participants will be able to enjoy spirits from many craft distillers. These include, Sagamore Spirit, Baltimore Spirits Company, Dragon Distillery, McClintock Distilling Co., Meinelschmidt Distillery, Old Line Spirits, Pathfinder Farm Distillery, Rosie Cheeks Distillery, Shmidt Spirits, Tenth Ward Distilling Co., and many more.
Finally, the event is rounded out with many breweries, artisans, and food vendors.
On Sunday, November 12th the event culminates in distillery tours at participating locations.
