Got someone on your holiday gift list who has been REALLY nice? Like $1500 nice? Here a gift possibility: Michter’s Distillery will release “one of its rarest offerings” next month, a 25-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon.
The barrels were handpicked by Michter’s Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. “This release of the 25 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an outstanding flavor experience without the overly oaked, dusty old whiskey character,” Wilson said.
Wilson’s tasting notes include: “(a) transition through sweet and savory depth, world spices, dark chocolates, fruit characters and nut oils, almost as if you are eating through a box of fine chocolates.”
Louisville-based Michter’s recently topped the list of “The World’s Most Admired Whiskies” by a group of independent whiskey experts.
