Three Chord Backstage Series

On November 7th, 2023 Whiskey Network reported that Three Chord Bourbon made an announcement that would rock the whiskey world: an exciting collaboration with the band Halestorm. Little did we know that there would be so much more to come in the following days!

Now, the innovative whiskey company has released the full scope of the Three Chord Backstage Series. Seven bands have been announced as a part of this collaboration.

Each band works with the celebrated Whiskey Maker Ari Sussman to make their own unique blend. Also, every bottle features a label specific for the band. Veteran designer and art director Ronnie Lewis was instrumental in the look and feel of the Backstage Series.

These collaborations are a centerpiece of the Three Chord Bourbon mission to be disrupt the whiskey industry and give back to the industry. The custom blends are an exciting new horizon for bands to engage with their fans. For example, on a limited basis there will be autographed bottles available.

The entire team at Three Chord Bourbon continues to break new ground in the industry and keep their promise to keep the incredible link between music and whiskey alive.

Here is more information about each band that has been announced:

Black Stone Cherry

Formed in 2001, they have released 8 studio albums and have earned a reputation of being raucous hard rockers with influences ranging from southern rock to heavy metal. They have a dedicated fan base and have spent considerable time bringing their live show to as many of them as possible.

The band members are:
Chris Robertson (lead vocals, guitar)
Ben Wells (backing vocals, guitar)
John Fred Young (drums, piano)
Steve Jewell Jr. (backing vocals, bass)

Cadillac Three

They have released six studio albums since 2011 and show no signs of slowing down. They are a unique blend of outlaw country and southern rock infused with non-stop energy. This talented band is going places with their own unique brand of style.

Jaren Johnson (guitar)
Neil Mason (drums)
Kelby Ray (acoustic guitar)

Dinosaur Jr.

Since 1984, this band has released twelve studio albums. They are considered to be early pioneers in the early alternative rock movement. Their music draws from classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s.

The band members are:
J Mascis (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards)
Murph (drums)
Lou Barlow (backing/lead vocals, bass)

Goodbye June

After getting together in 2009, the band has since released four outstanding studio albums. They a high energy rock band from Nashville, TN and have a ferocious following.

The band members are:
Landon Milbourn (lead vocals, acoustic guitar)
Tyler Baker (vocals, lead guitar)
Brandon Qualkenbush (rhythm/bass guitar, vocals)

Halestorm

They have rocked and thrilled audiences since 1997  and have released five studio albums. Their charismatic front woman is a centerpiece to their live act, and that is fused together with the explosive band behind her. They have toured relentless to bring their unique brand of rock/metal to audiences world-wide.

Lzzy Hale (lead vocals, rhythm/acoustic guitar, keyboards)

Joe Hottinger (lead/acoustic guitar, backing vocals)
Josh Smith (bass, keyboard, backing vocals)

Lucero

Lucero is a unqiue blend of country, fused with elements of alternative, punk, and rock genres. They have released 14 incredible albums since 1998 and have honed their craft in that time. They have a hard-won fan base from their aggressive tour schedule.

Brian Venable (guitar)

Theory of a Deadman

They are a Canadian rock band that draws influences from country and acoustic, and then blends those with their foundation of alternative and post-grunge. Since forming in 1999, they have released 8 studio albums and have earned a worldwide fan base.

The band members are:
Tyler Connolly (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitar)
Dave Brenner (rhythm/lead guitar, backing vocals)
Dean Back (bass, backing vocals)
Robin Diaz (drums, backing vocals)

The Three Chord Backstage series was impressive to hear about as a plan, and is now an electrifying reality. Of course, there are other band collaborations on the whiskey landscape. However, no other company has come close to offering partnerships with SEVEN bands at once. Three Chord Bourbon stands alone in its innovation and execution.

Neil Giraldo, Ari Sussman, Ryan Gill, and the rest of the team have truly stunned the entire industry by breathing life into this. Well done!
