My name is Col. Brian G. Miller, and I’m thrilled to guide you through the rich world of Kentucky bourbon culture and tourism. As a travel writer and tour guide, my passion lies in showcasing the best of bourbon country. Living in Louisville, Kentucky, means I’m immersed in the heart of all things bourbon. I love to bring the vibrant stories of the people, places, and history behind bourbon to life.
With Master’s Degrees in Journalism from the University of Missouri and Education from Georgetown College, my background includes years of experience as a journalist, marketing/PR professional, advertising specialist, and teacher. I’m also proud to serve as the Editor of Whiskey Network Magazine and write the monthly column, The Bourbon Tutor. Through these roles, I stay on top of the latest happenings in bourbon tourism, offering readers a unique insider’s perspective.
In addition to writing, I work as a bourbon tour guide, hosting guests on unforgettable tours of Kentucky’s bourbon scene. Whether through stories shared over a glass of whiskey or historical insights during a distillery tour, my goal is to connect others with the magic and tradition of bourbon culture.
Wondering about my title? I’m proud to be a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. It’s also a nod to my undergraduate college mascot at Centre College, also a Colonel.
Have a story idea or want to know more about something I’ve written? Email [email protected]. I look forward to sharing the fascinating stories of bourbon country with you. Cheers!
