Chicago is my kind of town! After a full day of enforcing the law, there’s nothing quite like kicking back with a quality cigar and a dram of whiskey to unwind. Since August 2021, I’ve had the privilege of serving as an enthusiast cigar and whiskey pairing review Staff Writer for Whiskey Network Magazine, where my passion for both crafts has truly come to life. I’ve been developing my palate and expanding my knowledge of cigars and whiskey since 2015, which has given me the expertise to bring a unique, thorough, and engaging perspective to the world of pairings.

In addition to writing for Whiskey Network, I also co-host monthly live cigar and whiskey pairing sessions on The Great Cigar & Pipe Show, a role I’ve held since February 2022. These events have allowed me to connect with fellow enthusiasts while adding a musical twist to our pairings, making each session as entertaining as it is informative. My deep connections with both the cigar and whiskey industries give me access to a wealth of knowledge and insights, which I share with our readers and viewers in a way that’s easy to enjoy, whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or new to the scene.

On top of all that, I’m proud to co-edit our weekly Barrel Report newsletter, where we keep our subscribers up-to-date with the latest trends, releases, and insights from the whiskey and cigar world. My approach to pairings goes beyond just taste—it’s about the stories behind each bottle and cigar, the moments of relaxation they create, and the community they foster. It’s truly a passion of mine, and I’m thrilled to share it with others.
