The 33rd Kentucky Bourbon Festival (KBF) in Bardstown isn’t until September 12-15, but there has been some recent news related to the event.

First, the KBF Board of Directors has named a new chairman. KBF President and COO Randy Prasse announced that Cordell Lawrence will fill that role. Lawrence is taking over for outgoing board chair David Mandell.

Lawrence was in the news last week with another new job: CEO of Eastern Light Distilling in Morehead, Kentucky. He spent most of the past decade as the chief operating officer at Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. in Louisville.

“I look forward to helping the festival achieve its mission and continue its impressive transformation,” Lawrence said.

In other KBF sponsor news: Joseph & Joseph Architects will be the Presenting Partner of the VIP Penthouse and KPFF Consulting Engineers will be the Presenting Partner of the Great Tent.
