Here’s a look at a few of the new whiskey releases announced this week.
The Reverend Sour Mash Whiskey
Reverend Daniel Houston Call was a 19th century preacher, farmer, grocer, and distiller, who you never heard of. But he had some friends he made whiskey with who went on the be famous. (You know them as Jack Daniel and Uncle Nearest Green.)
This new expression from Call Family Distillers honors the Reverend’s legacy. The North Carolina whiskey “undergoes the maple charcoal filtration process first developed in Lincoln County, Tennessee” for additional flavor.
