Louisville’s Bourbon Brotherhood group this week is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of monthly bourbon tastings, tours, and charity events. The social group has raised more than half a million dollars for a local charity.
Membership in the group is free; members pay only for the events they attend.
The Bourbon Brotherhood will team up again with another local group, the Whisky Chicks, on August 17, ,2024 to host their 11th annual Bourbon Mixer charity event. “The fact that the Brotherhood was philanthropic was a major draw to me, as I’m a huge believer in giving back to the community,” said member Tim Long.
In addition to the monthly tasting meetings, distillery tours, and charity events, the Bourbon Brotherhood has offered many barrel picks for its members to attend. Past barrel picks have included Knob Creek, New Riff, Bulleit, Starlight, Barton 1792, George Remus, Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, Sazerac Rye, and Luca Mariano.
