Okay, here’s a bourbon sponsorship that will definitely cut through the marketing clutter. We’ve seen various bourbons sponsor things like the Kentucky Derby, professional golf, and NASCAR. Blue Note Bourbon announced this week it is now the official bourbon of Major League Pickleball (MLP).
There’s a lot here to dissect. First, what is pickleball? “America’s fasting growing sport” involves a modified tennis or badminton courts, plastic raquets, and a wiffle ball.
Second, who knew that Major League Pickleball is a thing. There are 22 teams who play in two different level leagues (MLP Premier Level and MLP Challenger Level.)
