Ross & Squibb Expands Single Barrel Program

There is nothing like the experience of participating in a barrel program onsite at a distillery. And your odds of doing that just went up.

Ross & Squibb Distillery announced this week some upgrades to its Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Rossville Union Straight Rye Whiskey Single Barrel programs. The “in-person private barrel-selection opportunities” at the historic Lawrenceburg, Indiana distillery are special because the distillery doesn’t offer public tours. Your tour guide, either live or virtually, will be Master Distiller Ian Stirsman.

If you can’t make the pilgrimage to Lawrenceburg in person, the distillery will send you a program selection kit that is “packaged in a handsome natural wood case containing a sample of three different mash bills, branded glassware and in-depth information about each of the offerings.”

The Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel selections are between 4-5 years old. Three different mash bills are available. A barrel will yield approximately 30 6-in cases of 750 ml bottles with an SRP of $59.99, according to Ross & Squibb.

The Rossville Union Rye Single Barrel offerings are 4-5 years. Choices include three mash bills and three different proof points. Each barrel should yield approximately 30 6-in cases of 700ml bottles, with an SRP of $59.99.

Individual customers and retail accounts who want more information on the 2024 Barrel Program should email [email protected].

“We’ve set aside some outstanding barrels for our Remus and Rossville Single Barrel selections, each with a distinctive profile. For those customers who are interested in coming to the distillery, I’m looking forward to personally showing them around and helping them pick out a barrel they will love.”
