Cheers to our Founding Fathers and America’s national spirit, bourbon! I present to you the All –American combination of Bourbon and Lemonade. Obviously, I reached for my Smoke Wagon Patriotic Bourbon release to whip up this summer crusher. I usually make my own fresh lemonade with monkfruit sweetener and a touch of honey in lieu of sugar to kick out the extra calories, but any strong lemonade will work here. Pair this libation with backyard BBQ’s and fireworks!
Bourbon Lemonade
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Hawthorne Strainer
Ingredients
- 2 oz Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 0.25 oz Amaro (I used Amaro Montenegro)
- 3 oz Lemonade
- Mint (For garnish)
Instructions
- Fill shaker with ice
- Add Bourbon, Amaro, Lemonade
- Shake until well chilled
- Strain cocktail into a highball glass filled with ice
- Slap that mint and garnish
