Woodford Reserve Distillery recently rolled out a new limited-edition Blended Malt whiskey. It’s part of the Distillery Series, which Woodford Reserve said, “was created to push Woodford Reserve’s creative boundaries and introduce new expressions to the market.”
Blended Malt brings two different malt whiskies together:
- 100% malt, aged in used barrels, then finished in Ruby Port barrels.
- A blend of five different styles of malt grains aged in new oak barrels.

Tasting Notes (from the distillery):
Color: Orange honey.
Aroma: Raspberry preserves, nutty malt, with a hint of pumpkin spice and orange peel.
Flavor: Candied nutty malt, raw oak and citrus oils.
Finish: A long lingering finish of dark fruit, raspberry, raisins, fig, and a hint of allspice.
ABV: 45.2%
