Pappy Van Winkle Raffle Benefits Courageous Kids

Second Raffle Features 11 Different Collectible Bourbon Packages

Want a chance to win $15,000 worth of all six Pappy Van Winkle family whiskies and to help a great cause?  How about a shot at 11 other bourbon packages worth more than $23,000? It’s as easy as buying a raffle ticket.

The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) is holding its second annual Bourbon Raffle. CCK is where kids from Kentucky (and around the world) with chronic illnesses and other medical diagnoses can go to camp for free.

Last year’s Bourbon Raffle raised almost $72,000 to send kids to camp.
(Learn more about the difference CCK Camp made for one of its participants below)

For the second year in a row, a serious whiskey collector has donated 12 different packages to CCK, ensuring that every dollars made by the purchase of raffle tickets will go directly to the kids in need. CCK is offering two different raffles. The winner of the Grand Prize Raffle will receive six different bottles from the Pappy Van Winkle line, valued at $15,000. Tickets are $100 each and only 500 tickets will be sold.

The second raffle will award 11 different packages of collectable bourbon, valued at more than $23,000 total. Tickets for the second raffle are $50 each.

The Whiskey Network is proud to work with our good friends at the Center for Courageous Kids to promote the important raffle. Our readers have a chance to win some fantastic, rare bourbon. And some deserving kids will get to spend time at camp next summer.

“At The Center for Courageous Kids, we are incredibly excited to offer some of the rarest bourbons in our upcoming raffle, all for a cause that changes lives. Every bottle represents a unique opportunity not only for collectors but also for the children who benefit from the proceeds. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we can continue sending children with serious medical conditions to camp free of charge. Every ticket sold brings us closer to sending another child to camp, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the generosity of those who participate.”

CCK Camper Profile:

Grace Anna (age 13)

From : Liberty, Kentucky

Diagnosis: rare form of dwarfism that shortened limbs and scoliosis.

Reflecting on her  summer camp experience at CCK, Grace Anna said, “CCK is really awesome.  I love all of the activities, but I really love that people can talk to each other without being judged here.  I want to meet people that are dealing with the same stuff I am dealing with so that I don’t feel lonely in this world.  I blend in at this camp.  Everyone here is in wheelchairs and that’s really nice.”

Grace Anna’s mother, Angie was asked what she thinks is the biggest impact CCK has made on her family, “Camp has really connected us to other people that have some of the same struggles as she does.  You feel like someone gets your family.  Somebody gets your kid and you don’t get that everywhere.”

About The Center for Courageous Kids

Recreational camping for children is reimagined at The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) in Scottsville, Kentucky.  CCK is a medical camp for children living with chronic illnesses and medical diagnosis and offers fully accessible and inclusive experiences for kids and families.  Children attend CCK independently during the summer seasons, and then come along with their family during our diagnosis specific weekend retreats, all free of charge.  To date, CCK has served over 40,000 campers, with over 100 different diagnoses, from 45 different states and 13 countries.

For many children, participating in camping activities is not possible due to medical factors or design barriers.  However, with a variety of traditional and modern camp programming, all campers can gather together, grow their independence, try new things, and make great friends at CCK.  The joy of camp becomes a reality for every child at The Center for Courageous Kids!  To learn more, visit our website: www.courageouskids.org
