Great and Powerful Oz

Wicked is coming to a theatre near you! This is very exciting for me as I was lucky enough to see the original Broadway cast (yes, with Kristen Chenoweth) in San Francisco during the test run before the Broadway premiere. I am always drawn to the dark or misunderstood characters, so I am kicking off my Wicked cocktail series with an interpretation of The Great and Powerful Oz, the grandest of all illusionists.

The idea behind this recipe is the classic Ramos Fizz, but with all new ingredients. A proper Ramos Fizz will rise to great heights, but that takes A LOT of shaking, heavy cream and patience that will test the strongest of wills. Don’t worry, this recipe can just be fun, shake it as long as your arms will let you, and get whatever rise you can, then enjoy this delicious Diplomatico Rum cocktail as you pre-game before watching Wicked!
