Glinda the Good

We all know the story of The Wizard of Oz, but have you read or seen Wicked? Without spoiling the whole story for you, I will say that Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, wasn’t always the champion of goodness that we know and love. She was “popular” with all of the stereotypical qualities of a trivially shallow and immature school girl. However, as her journey through the Wicked plot continues, Glinda becomes not only the representative of all things good, but a fiercely strong friend, who will fight for what’s right, and proudly lead when called upon.

Glinda is strong, so Ilegal Joven Mezcal is the perfect spirit pairing for Glinda the Good. Of course, this cocktail has to be pink, but it’s also tart and sassy with fresh raspberries and lemon juice that stands up to the enrobing smoky Mezcal qualities. This cocktail makes me want to sing-a-long to the Wicked soundtrack. I might just have to test my pipes at the movie theater, and then again and again at home!
