
Wenzel Distillery is having a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its newly expanded facility that is “housed in a beautifully restored historic Packard Auto facility built in 1916.” The grand ceremony is at noon on Wednesday, July 30 at 412 Madison Avenue in Covington, Kentucky.
The new location is the first bourbon facility to operate in Covington since Prohibition.
Speakers at the event will include Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, MeetNKY CDME Julie Kirkpatrick, Kentucky Distillers Association Vice-President Coleen Thomas, Covington’s Mayor Ron Washington, and Wenzel Co-Founder Austin Dunbar.
The expanded Wenzel Distillery facility features
— A comprehensive bourbon experience including a new gift shop.
— Production distillery, bar, and event space.
— Capacity to produce approximately 700 barrels per year.
