Four Roses Salt River Cleanup Day a Big Success

Employees at Four Roses Distillery spent part of their day recently cleaning up the Salt River for the ninth year. But the real magic number was 880: that’s how many pounds of waste they cleaned up from the river and its banks. That brings the total to nearly 5,000 pounds of waste cleared since the annual project began.

In honor of this year’s efforts, Four Roses released a new limited Private Barrel Selection bottle that is only available at the Lawrenceburg, Kentucky Visitor Center. The expression has been aging for nine years, since the clean-up project began.

“The Salt River has always been at the heart of what we do at Four Roses. Its clean, mineral-rich water shapes the character of our bourbon, and we embrace our responsibility to protect this resource for generations to come.”
