The holidays are upon us and so is the age old conversation regarding cranberry sauce. Will it be homemade, canned, or both? The good news is it, really doesn’t matter when building this cocktail. I always make my own cranberry sauce, with lots of baking spices and citrus, but I completely understand the die-hard dedication to the classic canned style. No judgement here, let’s just have a cocktail, and let the discourse flow over the topic of sauce instead of those touchy subjects that are reflected in way too many viral memes.
And while enjoying this uniquely American holiday, let’s enjoy a traditional American High Rye Whiskey from our friends at Lodestar. At 45% ABV it’s the perfect proof for use in cocktails, with a delicate burnt sugar and toasty malt flavor, it lends itself beautifully to any fall cocktail.
Cheers to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and everyone you meet!
