Jack Daniel’s is selling the barrels that make up its festive “Barrel Trees” this year to help pay travel holiday travel costs for junior enlisted service members and their families. The barrels are available for $200 each and will come from one of the 12 “Barrel Trees” being displayed around the country this holiday season.
Jack Daniel’s created its first holiday “Barrel Tree” at its homeplace in Lynchburg, Tennessee in 2011 using 240 barrels that had been used to age its signature Tennessee whiskey. Since then, Jack Daniel’s and the Armed Forces YMCA have teamed up to help more than 10.000 individual service members with holiday travel costs.
Look for the “Barrel Trees” on display in the following cities: Buffalo, NY; Charlotte, NC; Inglewood, CA; Lynchburg, TN; Memphis, TN; Nashville, TN; New Brunswick, NJ; Oklahoma City, OK; San Antonio, TX; San Francisco, CA; Tampa, FL and Washington, D.C.
