Happy New Year!
With the launch of the new year, it’s time to announce our 2025 Whiskey Maker of the Year: RD1 Spirits in Lexington, Kentucky. Like many of you, we tasted a lot of whiskey over the past 12 months. But we have the added pressure of having to name (and justify) which distillery bottled the best, most creative, and truly innovative whiskey in 2025. (We know…tough job!) RD1 Spirits was our unanimous choice. Read about the amazing things RD1 is doing with wood finishing and make a resolution to try some yourself in the new year.
