While business seems to be getting a bit rocky for others in the whiskey world, Kentucky’s Lofted Spirits is forging full speed ahead. The company’s announced this week it is doubling the footprint of its existing bottling plant in Bardstown, breaking ground on a 4,000-square-foot expansion.
Lofted Spirits’ brands include Bardstown Bourbon Company and Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, Kentucky. The company said it is also “the largest distiller of Kentucky custom contract whiskey.”

While the broader distilled spirits industry continues to face well-documented headwinds, Lofted Spirits continues to make decisive moves that underscore their confidence in the category and their contract offering. The producer of award-winning brands Bardstown Bourbon Company and Green River Distilling Co., and largest distiller of Kentucky custom contract whiskey, has broken ground on an 4,000 square-foot expansion that will nearly double the footprint of its existing bottling operation while cementing the company’s position as the nimblest independent copacker in the state.
The bottling facility will grown from a 10-million-bottle-a-year capacity to more than 35-million-bottles-a year when the expansion is complete in the second quarter of 2026.
