Four Roses Salt River Cleanup Day

Everyone knows the importance of the water in the whiskey making process. Four Roses Distillery gets its water from the Salt River. Distillery employees continued their commitment to take care of their water source, with the annual Salt River Cleanup, calling it “a day dedicated to preserving the riverbank that provides the essential water source for the brand’s bourbon production.”

This year, Four Roses employees teamed up with the Kentucky Waterway Alliance to collect 1,380 pounds of debris from the riverbank. Four Roses has hosted the annual clean up day along a 150-mile stretch of the Salt River since 2017.

We have a responsibility to ourselves and to the broader community to ensure the continued pristine condition of this crucial resource and the beloved area around it.”
