Buffalo Trace Distillery is offering a couple of different opportunities to tour its property for the holiday season.
First, an old favorite has been updated; the Holidays at the Trace celebration is back for its 26th year. Visitors can enjoy a drive-through light show throughout the distillery grounds. New this year: “A new 16-foot-tall display of a jumping gingerbread man and four new buffalo light sculptures.” The free event is open from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. each night through December 31.
In addition, the Frankfort, Kentucky distillery has added a new visitor experience called Spirited Nights. This “more immersive, walk through experience” will take place the second and third weekends of December.

26th Annual “Holidays at the Trace” with New Visitor Experiences:
- 20,000 LED lights
- A 35-foot-tall Christmas tree with more than 400 ornaments
- More than 70 unique light installations throughout the grounds.
The new Spirited Nights includes:
- Brand-new walk-through light installations include a 60-foot-long light tunnel and new themed lights scenes including elves testing toys in Santa’s workshop.
- Expanded food & beverage options such as a Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream Hot Chocolate Bar
- Complimentary bourbon tastings
- A cocktail bar serving winter classics and extended gift shop hours for holiday gifting.
