Chicken Cock Whiskey announced a new limited-edition release this week called Miller’s Reserve American Whiskey. Lots of whiskeys have interesting stories and this one is no exception.
The Bardstown, Kentucky distillery said, “Miller’s Reserve reclaims the once-lost barrels of Chicken Cock Whiskey founder James A. Miller, lost in the sinking of the A.O. Tyler in 1860.”
The whiskey is a blend of whiskies from four states that border the Ohio River (where the A.O.Tyler sank): Kentucky, Indian, Ohio, and West Virginia.
Miller’s Reserve American Whiskey will make its debut next week at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown at a launch party on Saturday, September 6.
