Bardstown Bourbon Company wins plenty of awards for its whiskey. But the Kentucky distillery has been recognized again with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR certification for its energy efficiency. The Bardstown Bourbon Company said in a news release that the certifications “signifies that the industrial plant performs in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency and meets strict energy efficiency performance levels set by the EPA.”
Bardstown Bourbon Company, part of Lofted Spirits, was one of the first distilleries to receive the ENERGY STAR certification in 2023.
"Earning ENERGY STAR certification is yet another reflection how we're building for the future. As our industry continues to evolve, we're making intentional investments in energy efficiency, performance, and responsible production that position us for long-term success. Efficiency isn't just good for the environment, it's smart business. This is just one way that we continue to compete and grow without compromising the quality and consistency that defines Lofted Spirits.”
