Big news for our friends at RD1 Spirits this week. The company held a groundbreaking ceremony this week for its new $4.8 million, 10,215 square-foot destination called RD1 Distillery at The Commons in Lexington, Kentucky.
RD1 Spirits is doing some exciting things with Kentucky Straight Bourbon and a unique process using various wood finishes in the barrel.
The RD1 Distillery will be the anchor tenant at The Commons, a 40-acre mixed-use area, less than a mile from downtown Lexington, where tobacco warehouses once stood. Nearby the new site is the RD1 Tasting Room and Gift Shop. Read our experience at a recent RD1 tasting here.
