How about a nice California Punch! This is the adult version of that nostalgic summertime punch we all guzzled down after long days of outdoor adventures with our friends. Sweaty, hot, thirsty, tired, and beaming with happiness after a summer day without a care in the world, that punch hit just right. Can you just imagine it now?
Honestly, that punch was probably our introduction to Tiki drinks. Rum, tropical flavors, citrus, and red dye, laid the groundwork for our deep appreciation of Tiki flavors. Let’s replace the red dye with California grown pomegranate juice and Devils Creek Distillery White Mountain Rum. Devils Creek is best known for their whiskeys, produced in the Mammoth Lakes area of Northern California, where a deep gold-mining heritage shines through in all of their spirits. The White Mountain Rum is distilled from molasses, aged in ex-whiskey barrels, with a secondary finishing in California wine and port barrels. This cocktail is California proud, through and through.

Ingredients
- 1.75 oz Devils Creek White Mountain Rum
- 0.75 Velvet Falernum
- 0.75 oz Pomegranate Juice
- 0.75 oz Pineapple Juice
- 0.5 oz Orange Juice
- 0.25 oz Lime Juice
- 3-4 dashes Tiki Bitters (or one squeeze from a dropper)
- Garnish with Fresh Mint
Instructions
- Add all cocktail ingredients to a cocktail shaker
- Add ice and shake until well chilled
- Strain cocktail into a Mai Tai glass over fresh ice
- Garnish with fresh mint
