The next expression in the last of the Town Branch® Series is the Town Branch Kentucky Single Malt Whiskey.
The distillery said, “Town Branch® 7yr Kentucky Single Malt Whiskey is an American single malt crafted in Kentucky from 100% malted barley and aged in our own Kentucky® Bourbon Barrel Ale barrels for a minimum of seven years. Town Branch holds some of the oldest Kentucky single malt stocks in the world, having begun distilling single malt at the brewery in 2008—years before the distillery officially opened in 2012.”
This seven-year-old Single Malt was officially launched in 2019. This review was done by me and three other WBSE members. We felt that this gives the reader a broader view of the whiskey.

Peach, tart apple and cereal grains
Palate: 80/100
Nice soft mouthfeel with a pleasant sweetness. Followed by peach, vanilla, apple and cereal notes.
Finish: 80.5/100
A medium finish with notes of molasses, oak, and a touch of baking spice
Overall: 81.3/100
Recommendation: Worth buying a bottle this price point. Especially if you enjoy American Single Malts. Overall an excellent American Single Malt!

(From the distillery) The first era of the Lexington Brewing Co. began in the 1890s and came to a halt during Prohibition, changing ownership several times in the decades that followed. By the time Pearse Lyons and his son, Mark, explored the brewery in 1999, it was a dilapidated shell of what it had once been. However, Pearse was a visionary and entrepreneur and saw only what it could be. Spurred by a passion for brewing and distilling that courses through the Lyons family lineage of Irish coopers, Pearse revived Lexington Brewing Co. and restored a craft beer tradition that dates back to the 1700s Pearse continued to dream big as he set his sights on distilling — a natural progression given his background in fermentation, his family’s heritage and Kentucky’s bourbon tradition. Two copper pot stills that were commissioned from Scotland arrived at Lexington Brewing Co. in 2008. As autumn began to settle in late September 2012, the ribbon was cut on Town Branch Distillery, located across from Lexington Brewing Co., and the doors opened on the first new distillery to be built in Lexington, Kentucky, in more than 100 years.
