$4.8 Million Project to Open In Lexington in 2025
Our friends at RD1 Spirits in Lexington got some love from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear this week. Governor Andy (as we call him here in the Bluegrass) sent out a news release touting state help for the $4.8 million distillery project that will include tours, personalized blending experiences, tasting rooms, a cocktail bar, a gift shop and an event space.
RD1 Spirits got approval this week for $521,000 in economic incentives for the project from the state. It is scheduled to be done in 2025.
In case you missed it, check out my visit to the current RD1 Spirits tasting room in Lexington here.
“Expanding RD1’s brand destination in our hometown of Lexington is a testament to the vision and determination of our team, and consumers’ warm reception of our award-winning bourbon portfolio. RD1’s distillery at The Commons will further anchor us as a sought-after experience on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® while fueling national awareness of our brand. We appreciate the state’s support of our entrepreneurial efforts to help grow Fayette County and the Kentucky bourbon industry.”
