Smoke on the Water

Presenting this special recipe in honor of Jackie Thomson being celebrated in the Whiskey Network Women in Whiskey segment.

Uigeadail translated from Gaelic means “a dark and mysterious place.” How fitting for this intriguing Ardbeg expression, that is strikingly addictive, and best when consumed neat in the appropriate setting. However, it may be difficult to set the perfect mood on a whim, so let’s tame this extraordinary whisky, to make it approachable anytime and anywhere, by incorporating a bold and balancing vanilla liqueur and a splash of water.

Smoke on the Water

Equipment

  • Cocktail Mixing Glass
  • Hawthorne Strainer
