Buzzard’s Roost Distillery just announced a new limited-edition release: Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon. The Louisville distillery said, “This new offering showcases the distillery’s commitment to exploring complex flavor profiles through its proprietary double oak process – this time using bourbon distilled from four grains.”
The five-year-old bourbon was sourced from a distillery in Ohio. It’s available online beginning today. You can get a bottle signed by Buzzard’s Roost founders at the distillery and tasting room on Whiskey Row in Louisville this Saturday, February 7.
Buzzard’s Roost Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon
Mash bill: 73% corn , 16% wheat, 6% rye, and 5% malted barley.
Tasting Notes (from the distillery): “Buzzard’s Roost Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon presents an inviting nose with aromas of baking multigrain bread with brown sugar and a hint of baking spices. The palate delivers notes of rich vanilla crème brulée dusted with cinnamon, chocolate-covered toffee, crushed almonds and poached pears. The finish is nutty and warm with a pop of multigrain cereal.”
ABV: 50%.
Availability: The Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon will be available online on Thursday, Feb. 5 and at Buzzard’s Roost Distillery on Louisville’s Whiskey Row on Saturday Feb. 7. Allocated bottles will hit store shelves later in the month with distribution across the country. Suggested retail price is $79.99. Buzzard’s Roost Co-founders Judy Hollis Jones and Jason Brauner will sign bottles at Buzzard’s Roost Distillery and Tasting Room on Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
